Laugher v. ‘Toxic’ Positivity

Updated: Oct 12

It can be understood that laughter elevates mood and as such raises the vibration of the energy body.

More than empty words of idealised positive manifestations, Laughter is a physical act that can have very positive physical effects on the energy system.

The use of a ‘positive mindset’ incorporating positive beliefs, and matching behaviours can be beneficial in its’ most genuine form.

It is possible that ‘positivity’ can become ‘toxic’ when used in scenarios where there is underlying unhappiness or unresolved trauma which continues to vibrate at lower levels, beneath this surface of seeming positivity.

Professing ‘positive’ beliefs and mantras, without actually believing or embodying them could be experienced as form of ‘toxic positivity’ whereby the energy body system continues to vibrate at a lower level.

And what can result? An outwardly happy-go-lucky personality matched with an underlying sadness that is hidden from a world that could help. A mindset that may be held in a lower vibrational (and as such, potentially lower functioning) state for longer periods of time.

While underlying issues can be masked and repressed by a mantra of ‘surface’ positivity, Laughter - on the other hand - can be utilised in a very real and positive way to achieve a higher vibrational (and so potentially highter functioning) state, even at times when the underlying issues subsist. At times when any underlying issues are acknowledged and are perhaps being shifted, Laughter can aid this process.
