Move away from Stress towards Calm: Star Breathing Exercise

If you have a good imagination, then this exercise is for you. In this short breathing and visualisation practice we can shift from stress to calm in minutes.
We will be visualising a cosmic source of energy, eg. A star.
‘Stars emit energy as both electromagnetic radiation (light and heat across the spectrum) and particle radiation, generated by nuclear fusion in their cores. This energy travels outward, with visible light being just one part of what stars emit.’
Star Breathing Exercise:
Sit in a comfortable position and gently close your eyes.
Take a moment to ground yourself, connect down into the earth by imagining roots coming from your body, perhaps from all the places that the body is in contact with the ground. Those roots from your body reaching all the way down into the centre of the earth, or as far down as you can imagine them going.
Take a few more moments to breathe in and breathe out, with the intention of strengthening and filling any gaps in your energy field.
Now bring into your mind the image of a star, this could appear as a simple light source in the night sky or space, or it could even be a collection of stars, a galaxy, star cluster, or star system.
Breathing in:- imagine breathing in the energy / light from that star into your third eye - the point between the eyebrows. It may be easier to start just by breathing in whilst having the image of the star in mind, then progressing to the idea, or visualisation, of ‘breathing in’ through the third eye.
Breathing out:- as you breathe out, imagine ‘breathing out’ through the third eye, imagine that star energy being released back out to the place it came from. Again, it may be easier to start with just the idea of a normal breath out, a simple exhale of the air from the lungs, and then later on adding in the the idea of ‘breathing’ through the third eye (while visualising the star at the same time!). It may take a few tries for this practice to feel natural.
Continue with this inhaling and exhaling for 3 minutes, or as long as feels comfortable. You could start with one minute and work up to 3.
What is a star:-
